Michelle Roberts Named to Northern California Super Lawyers Top 100 and Top 50 Women Lists for 2026

Michelle Roberts, Principal of Roberts Disability Law, P.C., has been selected to two of Super Lawyers’ most selective recognitions for 2026: the Top 100 Northern California Super Lawyers and the Top 50 Women Northern California Super Lawyers

Both lists are drawn from the broader pool of attorneys who already earned Super Lawyers recognition, then narrowed through additional peer evaluation and review. The fields these honorees come from range across corporate litigation, intellectual property, and personal injury. Michelle’s practice sits in a narrower and less visible corner of the law: representing people whose long-term disability and ERISA benefits have been denied or cut off by their insurers.

Why this recognition matters to claimants, not just the firm

An award placed on a wall does nothing for a client. What it signals is more useful. Disability insurers and the ERISA plans that administer these claims pay close attention to which attorneys actually take cases through litigation and which ones settle early to avoid the fight. Recognition built on peer review and case outcomes is one marker, among others, of a practice that carriers know will press a denied claim rather than fold.

For someone deciding whether to appeal a denial or whether their claim is worth pursuing at all, that distinction is practical. The carrier on the other side already knows the difference between firms.

About the practice

Roberts Disability Law represents claimants throughout California and nationwide in long term disability disputes, ERISA appeals, and related benefits litigation. The firm handles denied claims, terminated benefits, and the administrative appeals that often determine whether a case can succeed before it ever reaches court.

If your long-term disability or ERISA benefits have been denied or terminated, contact the firm to discuss your claim.
